Flashback Date: Our Last Big Night Out Pregnant

I posted about our last weekend before we became parents, which involved a lot of good food! See here and here for details!
But I was cleaning out my memory card and realized I never posted about the two weeks before we became parents, and one of our last big hoorays to see Wicked!

I’m not kidding when I say we purchased tickets a year in advance, on a discounted group rate. When I found out I was pregnant and due in September my heart dropped, I was so worried we’d miss out on Wicked! Luckily we made it, and we got to enjoy one last fancy date before we had several months stuck at home with a newborn. I’d highly recommend finding something fun and fancy and somewhat time consuming to do for a last date before baby, it really is a nice memory and experience to hold you through the first few months when leaving home is hard and leaving for more than 3 hours is basically impossible!

My favorite part was watching him literally dance to the music. Jacob looked down at one point watching my stomach rolling and with big eyes remarked “WHOA!” He’s loved women’s high pitched voices all along, and it was fun to see the baby get a kick out of Elphaba.

I’m so grateful for this experience, and so glad I was able to dig up the memory! I’m also so glad i’m not nine months pregnant ready to pop anymore!
