I strictly adhere to my own rule that once the temperature reaches 90 degrees or above pants are no longer allowed in my wardrobe rotation. I suddenly become tempted to buy every skirt on the market, and this time of year that usually means everything in red, white, and blue. These happen to be my favorite colors, and I love how versatile each one is with different colors and different looks.

The right cut and shade, and a little prep to get my legs looking their own healthy shade instead of a scary white makes all the difference. I’ve used JERGENS® Natural Glow® Daily Moisturizer for years- it’s such an easy life hack to up your beauty game and help you feel confident baring a little more skin. You use it just as you would any moisturizer, applying evenly and daily until you achieve the look you’re going for. I apply right after the shower after I exfoliate, super easy and it always turns out great. I absolutely love how fit and trim my legs look with just a little bit of lotion that’s easy to apply. It makes flaunting those previously concealed winter legs effortless and easy!

With my legs looking tan and having a a better glow, I’m ready to wear shorter skirts and come up with several different looks to get the most bang for my buck with each skirt.

Look 1. The Romantic
Of course I love to think of date night looks that are functional for fun and have a bit of a romantic flair. A lace top with a bright skirt and some comfy walking shoes later have me feeling pretty and ready for adventure.

2. Comfy Casual
I like to make sure every piece goes well with the Arizona heat, and with mom life. A printed t-shirt, a pop of color with the skirt, a hat to hide several-day unwashed hair, and some printed sneakers or flats make me feel like a put-together mom with a little bit of style while staying completely machine washable and comfortable.

3. Down to Business
For several years of my life this was my work uniform- a-line skirt and button up shirt. It still remains a favorite as something that looks polished and put-together and is flattering on any body type. Add a more formal statement necklace like pearls and top off some heels and you have an outfit perfect for work, lunch meetings, conference, church, or any other more dressy event on your calendar.

I have to admit that I love to add JERGENS® Natural Glow® FACE Daily Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 20 into the mix too so my face can also have a little more glow to go with my legs. The SPF is for incidental sun only, so I like to use my normal sunscreen too, but it’s still just as simple to apply and has just as great of results as my legs do! They are both easy to grab at Walmart, and they really are my simplest and best beauty secret to transition to summer.

Let me know, which look is your favorite? Any other ideas for styling a summer skirt?
