There’s nothing like trying a new restaurant for dinner and I love living in a big city where there’s an endless supply and I just can’t try them all in my lifetime! But even when I lived in a smaller town, it was still my favorite thing to try new places or new dishes at some familiar favorites. No matter where I live, downtown areas just seem to have my heart.
I’m usually the biggest advocate of skirts and dresses, I mean pear-shaped women of the world can we unite that there’s nothing like an A-line skirt for our bodies? Every body type can rock a skirt, and there’s something so romantic about them that make date night fashion feel so fun and romantic. But, lately, I have been the biggest fans of jeans and a romantic top after finding the most perfect pair of mom jeans around.
My friend Reachel tipped me off to AG jeans, letting me know a high waist pair would suck in the postpartum pooch, there was a higher quality denim in play, and I’d actually feel like I loved jeans for the first time in my life. That wise amazing stylish friend of mine as always was right! I’ve paid full price for one pair (but they are 25% off right now), bought another on sale, I’m a fan of looking through ThredUp and Swap.com for used pair now. I scored this pair at Last Chance and it’s my favorite during the summer with the style and ventilation in the knees, so I’m hunting for another pair in my size knowing it’s worth it, I am actually loving wearing jeans and even in the heat, they are my summer go-to staple.
And with quality jeans that I trust to keep that lower figure together, I’ve had so much fun investing in a lot of fun date night tops this summer that are cute, trendy, and super inexpensive! Guys, this darling tie-sleeve striped blouse is so versatile with jeans or skirts and works like I’m wearing it, or as an off-the-shoulder number too. And let’s talk price, at only $12.99 this one is hard to beat! It also runs true-to-size, I’m normally a small, give or take, and that’s what I ordered and gladly am making work with so many outfits!
So my current fashion moral: splurge on jeans you’ll feel fantastic in, and let yourself lose with a few trendy cheaper tops knowing you’ll still look put-together and on trend for your next Downtown date night.
