Washington DC Getaway: Lincoln Memorial
Washington D.C. Travel: The Lincoln Memorial
Location: The Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C.
Cost: Free to walk around and explore
Time: Plan about 1 Hour for exploring
Tips: We missed it the first time and had to go back- find the memorial to the spot MLK gave the “I Have a Dream” speech. Read up on historical events/protests that have happened here.
It’s extra beautiful at night, try to visit then. Also, take pics whenever the window is there- this place is always crowded!
I’ve waited my whole life to meet this guy.
It’s pretty incredible to see in person and to feel the spirit and rich American history of this place.
We read every wall.
And enjoyed the view from the front steps of the Washington Monument.
We also enjoyed the views of the 13 Colonies in stone, the pillars, the architecture, and the time it took to build this beautiful place that represents equal rights for all. What a beautiful thing.
