Our Miracle Has Arrived

For those who follow me on Instagram, you’ve already heard the news. For those who don’t, our little miracle showed up on September 22nd.

I can’t describe the feeling of humility and joy after you’ve struggled with infertility and prayed for something for so long and then one day the most perfect baby shows up. There have been so many tears, and not in a postpartum depression kind of way, in a completely humbled I-can’t-believe-this-is-real-life kind of way. You worry with fertility treatments that something will go wrong, and after so many disappointments it’s hard to believe when everything works out. We have held our breath for months constantly hearing great news with ultrasounds, but there’s nothing like your baby coming in the world and having doctors and nurses tell you he’s perfect. I keep looking at him and choking up at the miracle of life and reality that a healthy, happy baby is officially ours. I think this is what overwhelming happiness looks like!

More to come including his stats, his name, and his birth story. For right now, I’m going to go look at my little miracle and pinch myself that motherhood happened to me, and the most perfect little woodlands creature is mine forever.

For more frequent updates and cute baby pictures feel free to follow me on social media where he’s making a few more regular appearances:
