One of my favorite fall activities is visiting the Pumpkin and Chili Fest at Schnepf Farms. When the weather turns slightly cooler and you’re ready to jump into the fun of the harvest season, this festival is perfect!
Food at The Schnepf Farms Pumpkin and Chili Party
One obvious reason to attend the event is the chili! I mean, the festival is named after it!
They offer both regular chili and pumpkin chili. Both are excellent! There’s also a vegetarian chili option.
Expect a grill-style dinner down on the farm with chili, corn bread, grilled corn, and hot dogs available for kids.
They also have a taco bar, a potato bar, and a few food trucks for dining options. THE TRUCK STOP is a newer area with pizza, hot dogs, burgers, sausages, and funnel cakes, and cookies for sale.
We highly recommend the classic chili dinner, but all the meals are delicious, farm-cooked meals!
*They don’t allow outside food or beverages. Be sure to plan your food accordingly.

Pumpkin and Chili Party Activities
They do an excellent job combining a farm with an amusement park. There are a lot of fun things to see and do for people of all ages.
Here’s a complete list of the attractions at the Schnepf Farm Pumpkin and Chili Party

Schnepf Roller Coaster
A perfect first coaster for families! With a 36″ height requirement, it’s big enough to be exciting but friendly enough for kids to ride with confidence.

For our tiniest farmers, ages 3–6 and under 42″. It’s cute, fun, and just their speed!

Adventure awaits! Two ziplines for younger kids, plus one medium and one taller zipline for bigger adventurers. Height requirement starts at 32″, and parents can help the littles if needed.
Jumping Pillows
It’s exactly what it sounds like—giant, bouncy fun! Limited to 10 kids at a time, so everyone gets a chance to jump their hearts out.
Jump Pad
Right next to the jumping pillow, so yes… your kids will basically live here for a while. Just embrace it!
Rock Wall
Future climbers, this one’s for you! You’ll need to weigh at least 50lbs to conquer this challenge.
Schnepf Train Ride
All aboard! A daytime ride is $5, or ride after dark for a spooky version at $10. It’s a must-do for train lovers.

Hop on the hayride to feed the deer AND explore the 10-acre NASCAR corn maze. Talk about the best of both worlds!

10-Acre NASCAR/Phoenix Raceway Corn Maze
Get lost—in the best way possible—on 3 miles of twists and turns with hints along the way. It’s a challenge the whole family will love!
One of our favorite things is pig racing. It’s seriously fun!

They also have a surprisingly good roller coaster! It was definitely our favorite part. Even having visited Six Flags the week before, we were still pretty pleased.

We definitely always love the corn maze too. That’s always a must on our fall date ideas list!

They also have the cutest country store where you can go buy all kinds of baked goods, bottled jams, and sauces. Feel free to include this in your dinner, or plan to take some goods home on your way out!

Date Night at Schnepf Farms
If you want to take it easy, you can listen to live music under a canopy filled with lights. It’s such a fun, romantic atmosphere.

If the farm, rides, corn maze, shows, and games aren’t enough, they top the night off with fireworks.

It’s well worth the $28 for a really fun, really “fall” date!
I seriously want chili bad enough at this moment that I might drive somewhere and get some. WHY IS THERE NO WENDY'S CLOSE TO ME. WHY IS THERE NO QT. (Does QT have chili?)
