Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I love making the entire month of October feel like a fun month to enjoy. We love to look forward to Halloween night and build some anticipation with a fun Halloween countdown calendar!
Halloween Calendars
I’ve tried several Halloween advents, and as much as we love a good interactive calendar for a holiday season, I’ve learned that there are a few things that make them extra fun, and extra doable for busy moms!
Namely, they need to be easy! Kids need to be able to able to move the Halloween advent forward without help. Sometimes we’ve found those extra sets of instructions or need to get out extra arts and crafts supplies that can prevent us from using the countdown effectively. I’m not sure why grabbing a bottle of glue or a sticker sheet can impede us, but sometimes a mom just has her hands full and it does!
We wanted something cute enough to display, and easy enough for kids to use without help that it doesn’t feel like a trick, only a treat! So we got to work designing a Halloween Countdown FREE printable for families to use with ease this Halloween season!

Instructions:
- Download the file
- Print the file (we recommend color, but black and white works great for this printable too!)
- Cut out the countdown strips.
- Create a chain in numerical order. Create a circle starting with 31, and close with a staple or piece of tape. Add on 30 through the circle hole, and attach. Continue until you’ve assembled an entire countdown chain.
- Display, and get ready to remove one number a day. As your chain quantity decreases, you’ll know you’re one step closer to Halloween night!
