It’s Valentine’s season, and we’ve officially received the note to plan and prep for the classroom Valentine’s party.
I noticed last year that my kids’ favorite treat from the school Valentine’s Day party was a candy ring pop. It’s always a big hit and so much fun to have a big old gem candy on your finger, and I made note!
We decided that this kid favorite sweet gift would be the perfect Valentine for this year! Consequently, we created a free printable Valentine for you to use too! So we’ve designed and created modern printable tags with a free download so you can make Ring Poop Valentines too!
Throwback Valentine’s Cards
We wanted a fun throwback feel for these Ring Pop Valentines and leaned into a vintage vibe. Ring Pops hit the scene in the 1980s, and really hit their stride in the 90s. So we leaned into this era and made different Valentine designs with a 90s Valentine vibe.
You’ll find different colors from fun to more neutral, in attempts to please all kids.
Kid Approved Valentine’s Cards
But most of all, we paid close attention to the messaging. I’m pleased to say my own kids approved of it! By the time kids hit 1st grade they are often a little self-conscience about the messaging and whether it’s proclaiming love or a crush unintendedly. We went through the funny puns and leaned into the gem Valentine cards. “You’re a Gem of a Friend” messaging won out! That way there’s nothing but comfort with these Valentine tags!
It’s the perfect way to wish a happy Valentine’s day for elementary kids and middle school kids alike!
And we did it with some quirky ring pop printables that are kid-approved. Oh and did we mention the best part? These are completely free printables!

Create this cute, kid-favorite Valentine's card for your kid's Valentine's Day class party.
Materials
- - Free Ring Pop Valentine Printable
- - White Cardstock
- - Ring Pop candy
Tools
- - Scissors or a paper cutter
- - Hole Punch
Instructions
- Download your free Valentine's Day Printable
- Print on cardstock (you can use computer paper, but we recommend a thicker paper if possible)
- Cut out Valentine's Day Cards
- Have your child sign their name
- Fold the Valentine's Day cards in half
- Attach the gift tags with a stapler or tape it together.
